Apple Cranberry Crisp
Ingredients:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups quick cooking oats
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup of butter
1/2 cup of water
1 ½ cups fresh cranberries or ¾ cup dried cranberrie
5 apples of your choosing - peeled cored and sliced
Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
Step 2: Mix
In a medium bowl, mix together the oats, brown sugar, flour, nutmeg and cinnamon. Stir in the melted butter and water to form a crumbly mixture.
Step 3: Boil
In a large saucepan, add fresh cranberries and water. Bring to a boil, and then remove from heat. Stir in the apples. Or, if you opt for dried cranberries, add them into the apple & water once boiling.
Step 4: Spread
Spread into 8x8 baking dish and crumble the oat mixture over the apples & cranberries.
Step 5: Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the apples are tender. Serve warm with fresh whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
