Welcome to Fresh Picks, Chicago's hometown grocery delivery service! Local, organic and sustainable food is our passion. Working with us is easy.
1. Set up a free account here. No subscriptions or committments required.
2. Order as much as you like. There are no minimum order requirements. You can order a la carte, set up a recurring order or both.
3. We'll deliver to your doorstep or you can pickup up from us.
Our commitment is to bring you the best local food, grown on family farms and made by local producers, including fresh produce, meat, poultry, dairy, bakery and pantry items. If you are not fully satisfied with your order for any reason, we will make it right no questions asked.

How do I sign up?
If you are a first time customer, be sure to check that we deliver to you by entering your zip code in the “New to Fresh Picks” box on the Homepage. Signing up for your account is easy! Just click here and begin shopping.
When will I get my first order?
You will receive your first delivery on the date you choose during the Check Out process. This date will also be listed in your confirmation email. As long as you place your order before the order deadline (11:59PM 1 day before the delivery day for your zip code) you can receive an order during the same week you opened your account.
ORDERING
How do I order?
Browse through our grocery aisles by clicking on the “Start Picking” tab at the top of any page. You can also search by specific items or brands through the search feature. Build your grocery cart by choosing the products and quantities you want. Once you’ve got everything you need in your cart all you need to do is click “Proceed to Check Out” to complete your order.
When must I make my order? Can I cancel my order?
You need to place your order by midnight the night before the scheduled delivery day. For example, If your delivery day is Wednesday, then your order needs to be confirmed by Tuesday at 11:59 PM.
Can I cancel my order?
Orders can be canceled anytime before 7:00am on the morning of the scheduled delivery free of charge. Orders canceled after 7:00am will be charged the full order value.
How is my order confirmed?
You will receive a confirmation email within a few minutes of placing your order. Please put our email answers@freshpicks.com in your address book so our email does not go into your spam folder. For Recurring Orders, you will receive a reminder email the week before the order deadline in case you want to make any changes.
Why did I get multiple confirmation emails for one order?
Anytime you make changes to a current order you will receive another confirmation email. This is sent out to confirm the changes you have made. The last confirmation email you receive does consist of the entire order we have in our system.
Can I customize my order?
Yes. Every order is just right for you! You can order based on your unique needs with no requirement to include one of our weekly Fresh Picks boxes with your order. There is no commitment to ordering, no money up front, no order minimum and no membership fee. You can order what you want, when you want it.
What is a recurring order?
You can set up a recurring order that will automatically reoccur every week or every other week. It’s a great way to ensure you never run out of your grocery staples. You can easily adjust your order based on what you need that week making the recurring order just as flexible as one-time orders. You can cancel, suspend or adjust your orders at any time.
You will see the “Add to Recurring Order” choice for every product. Once you have chosen the products for your Recurring Order, you choose the frequency and start date and you are all set!
Must I order weekly or bi-weekly?
No. You can order whenever you want. Once a week, once a month. Whatever works for you! You can also schedule items to receive on a recurring weekly or bi-weekly basis as described above.
What if I am going away?
If you are going away on vacation, good for you! If you have a Recurring Order you can put your orders on hold and choose the date for your orders to resume. If you placed a one-time order you now want to cancel, go to “Your Orders” on your Account Page and click Cancel.
Do you offer wholesale pricing?
Yes. We offer special case prices for larger volume customers like restaurants, groceries, schools and other businesses. To see more about case pricing go to our wholesale page.
Do you provide fruit and snack deliveries for offices?
Yes. We provide the best seasonal fruits and easy-to-snack veggies for any size workplace. You can choose from one of our Fresh Picks Fruit Boxes or let us help you create a Custom Weekly Order. We provide discounts for offices with over 100 employees.
Why does my order status say complete but I have not received my order?
Your order status will show as complete once your order is put on the truck and is on its way. Please feel free to contact us to find out what the timing looks like for that day.
PAYMENT
How does payment work?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover credit or debit cards. We will finalize the charge on the morning of your delivery. Your final total will be adjusted for the actual weight on certain meats and for any item that is out-of-stock.
How do you ensure my payment is secure?
The security of your financial information is very important to us. Your card information is encrypted to be protected from any disclosure and our website is secured using an SSL Certificate.

What products do you carry?
At Fresh Picks we carry an abundant choice of local and organic fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy, eggs, baked goods and grocery items. We supplement local seasonal items with foods from our certified organic partners in other regions, including items like oranges and avocados that are not available locally any time of year. We have a selection of chopped fruit and vegetable kits for quick meal preparation.
What is a Fresh Picks Box?
The Fresh Picks Boxes are filled with the best local and seasonal produce from dozens of local farms. We do supplement with produce grown outside the region during the winter months to maintain some variety. We also offer an all local seasonal share for each season. All of the contents of our Fresh Picks boxes are chosen by us but can be customized based on your individual preferences. Just list any items you want to exclude on your Account Page in the Packing Exclusions Box.
We offer Vegetable Boxes, Fruit boxes, Fruit and Vegetable Boxes, Juicing Boxes, Cleanse Boxes, Breakfast Boxes, Gift and Snack Boxes and more. These boxes come in a variety of sizes to fit every budget. These boxes come in a variety of sizes to fit every budget with smaller sizes starting at $18.
We will occasionally include non-produce items (like prepared foods, eggs, baked goods, etc) during the winter to continue to support our local farmers even when they’re not growing. Be sure to list any dietary restrictions in the Packing Exclusions Box on your Account Page.
How can I customize a Fresh Picks Box?
Even though we do choose the items that are in our boxes you can customize them by excluding certain items. If there are things you are allergic to or just don’t like, list them in the Packing Exclusions Box on your Account Page. If we have these items in your box we will leave them out and substitute other items in.
Can I order from recipes?
Of course! We have a comprehensive collection of healthy recipes that you can browse by clicking on “Recipes” from the top menu. Once you find a recipe that you like, you can add any ingredients listed on the recipe page to your cart.
Where does your food come from?
Our food comes from the best local organic and sustainable farms we personally know and trust in the Midwest. We supplement local seasonal items with foods from our certified organic partners in other regions.
Are all of your products certified organic?
No, not all of our local products are certified organic. Many of our local farmers are not certified organic but they do grow organically with no use of hormones, antibiotics, pesticides or GMO’s. Other local products contain the best combination of local and organic ingredients we can find and are labeled accordingly. Most products we source from outside the region are certified organic.
What if I am not satisfied with an item in my order?
We offer 100% satisfaction guaranteed. If you are not satisfied with anything in your order please contact us and we will issue a credit back to your card or a replacement. It’s that simple.

DELIVERY & PICKUP
Where do you deliver?
Fresh Picks delivers to homes and offices throughout most of Chicagoland. Enter your zip code into the “New to Fresh Picks?” box on the Homepage to check which day(s) deliveries are available in your area.
Same-day, Next-day and pre-scheduled Pickup is available Sunday – Thursday at our homebase in Niles. Same-day, and prescheduled is available Sunday - Friday. Select “Pickup” when you get to checkout.
When do you make your deliveries?
Currently, we deliver 6 days per week, between 9am – 6pm. Delivery schedules are based on zip code. For our corporate customers, we are able to accommodate deliveries during business hours.
Are there fees for Delivery and Pickup?
Same-day and pre-scheduled Pickup are Free. Delivery Service Fees range from Free to $9.99 based on order value, exclusive of taxes and tips.

Do I need to be home to receive my order?
While we would love to see you, it’s not necessary to be home when we deliver. Orders are packed to keep your food safe and fresh (and frozen when necessary). Tell us the best place to leave delivery boxes in the Shipping Instructions on your Account Page. So long as we have access, we will leave your delivery in the designated location. Please note: the order becomes your responsibility once it's delivered, including perishable items.
Our delivery boxes, liners and ice packs are all designed to be recyclable. If you prefer however, we will take back used Fresh Picks’ packaging materials when we deliver. Simply leave it in the designated delivery location.

What is your privacy policy?
At Irv & Shelly's Fresh Picks we respect your privacy. We will never knowingly share your email address or any personal information you provide us with anyone other than the financial institution that processes your payment when you order from us.
