Gina Graham and Cheryl Burton bring horticultural, management and business development experience to their farm enterprise which they started in June of 2016 on a beautiful 8-1/2 acre retired dairy farm in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin.  

Cheryl (Cherie) has impressive career history in horticulture and landscape management. Starting her career in golf course maintenance in Wisconsin and Florida, she obtained a degree in horticulture from Milwaukee Area Technical College and was chief groundskeeper at a private liberal arts college in Milwaukee, caring for the 85 acre grounds and creating beautiful perennial beds and annual plantings. 

A lifelong gardener, Gina’s career was in healthcare administration. She worked in non-profit health care delivery in eastern Wisconsin, and later gained global health experience at a multi-national medical device company. Today, she is an independent grant development consultant working in the healthcare, social services and agricultural arenas.

After moving from urban Milwaukee to a 3/4 acre rural property in an adjacent county, Gina and Cherie ‘caught the bug’ for more land where they could actually grow, rather than just garden. When they came across an 8-1/2 acre retired dairy farm with flat, sunny fields and a large greenhouse, a vision and business plan for a specialty cut flower farm came to life. With first-time farmer and women-farmer financing from the USDA, that vision is now the reality that today is Old Stone House Farm, LLC.
