Welcome to the May Fresh Picks Newsletter! Every day there’s more great food ripening on our local farms and our start-up website has been getting ripe too! We are ready to start taking your orders for delivery the week of June 5th. We’ll email everyone in the initial delivery areas and then expand to new neighborhoods as fast as we can. We’d love to hear any suggestions from you as we continue to improve our website and service as the season progresses. We are launching Irv & Shelly’s Fresh PicksSM and this newsletter to connect Chicago to our local farmers and build a healthy way to bring fresh local food to our tables.

Season Update
Just as our urban gardens and streets are filling up with lush growth and spring blooms, the seedlings on our regional farms are exploding into thick green leaves and tasty treats. It is an exciting time with early spring crops like ramps (wild onions) and radishes being harvested, and a very busy time focused on planting and more planting so there will be lots of great harvests throughout the season!
